Alienation Photography has now been going in one form or another since 1995. Originally it was set up as a custom tee shirt producer designing low volume tee shirts for newsgroups. As the internet grew into a global presence and computers became more affordable it soon shifted to promoting my brother's artwork and jewellery businesses. More recently my focus has moved to music photography and journalism.
Today I contribute to Devolution Magazine as photographer, reviewer and interviewer. Over the last few years I've interviewed such luminary figures as Wayne Hussey from The Mission, as well as members of The Dead Daisies, DevilDriver and Raging Speedhorn. When not working at Whitby Goth Weekend, Download Festival, and Amplified Festival, I can be found most weekends shooting the local bands in the Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Wiltshire counties, as well as further afield when the band excites me.
If you want me to shoot your event please contact me using the form to the right. Be aware I don't do weddings or social events as my equipment is specifically geared towards small venue concert photography. While this is the case, please don't ask me to shoot events without adequate lighting, there is nothing worse for a photographer than to be asked to shoot a show that is entirely backlit in red. Consider what you want the photos for and plan accordingly. My rates are negotiable, but please remember that I also have expenses, and for promotional shoots may include studio time.
